The original formula for this unisex cologne dates back to the late 16 thcentury. It was re-created and named Aqua Mirabilis which translated from Latin, means Miracle Water and a Cure All!

The original formula inspired many copies and was the forerunner of the famous 4711 eau de cologne, launched two centuries later.

Classic Cologne is an exhilarating and refreshing blend of lemon, orange and neroli, with just a hint of rosemary. It is said to have therapeutic properties ensuring good health. Classic Cologne would make a perfect gift especially as, on request, the cologne can be accompanied by a scroll bearing the fascinating background story to this fragrance.

John Bailey enjoys the honour of being a Freeman of The City of London. Should he ever be condemned to death (perhaps for telling tall stories!) he would be granted the privilege of being hung by silken cord instead of ordinary rope as a commoner! However, it is true that the Guildhall in London has been fragranced by Classic Cologne!
